At CFEE NNGO there are policies which govern internal controls and relationships. We also have strategic plan document which guide our interventions within a particular period /time frame. The key policy documents of our NNGO includes: Human resource management policy, Procurement policy and financial management policy, etc. We at CFEE we have code of conduct which is signed by all parties that have contractual obligations with CFEE NNGO: e.g. staffs, consultants, etc. Our NGO is governed by policies. Our NNGO have 3 main levels of governance: the senior most is the board of directors, followed by the senior management and the lower management.

The board is consisting of 7 members (3 males and 4 females). there is a board chairperson who heads the board members. Other roles are the board treasurer (in charge of finances) and board secretary (day to day running of the organization). Others are members. The current board currently plays advisory role, resource mobilization and oversight role. The board holds annual meetings every January to review its operational plan, and holds elections. If any of Board Directors does not perform satisfactorily, the CFEE holds the right to replace him/her by suspension of his/her duties and inviting new candidate.

The board hold election in every two years. Elections is done by secret ballot and must require a majority of 51% vote of the general assembly. All office holders require one year of service and an extension by vote of majority.

What We Do

Gender, Empowerment, Socioeconomic leadership for poverty reduction and Protection

The CFEE’s work in this sector and considers it our one of core sectors: is largely focused on gender and protection mainstreaming, gender based violence prevention, mental health trauma healing and therapy (MHPSS), community education for social cohesion with IDPs, Returnees, Refugees, multi-sectoral response and risk mitigation.

The CFEE’s gender transformative programming largely focuses on women’s economic empowerment through skills building, climate smart and adaptive approaches/techniques in farming, marketing skills, good management of capital, programming as a part of recovery, resilience and reintegration. Gender transformative programming also integrates part of peacebuilding activities to address underlying gender inequalities that increase women and girls’ vulnerability to GBV. This not only increases their capacity to own their lives but and is a fulfilment of their rights. Collaboration with other service providers in SGBV cases detection and case referrals is central to CFEE’s response efforts as GBV survivors are helped access the multi sectoral response services.

Strategy and approach

We aspire to save lives and alleviate suffering. We work to accelerate the end of poverty, hunger and preventable disease. And, we seek to cultivate just and peaceful societies. Our goals are interrelated and mutually reinforced, always placing the dignity of the human person at the center. We provide life-saving assistance to conflict and natural disaster- affected communities through crosscutting programming. When disaster strikes, CFEE supports communities to meet their basic needs for food, water and shelter, SGBV programming and general protection. Once stabilized, CFEE NNGO co-invests with communities to build long-term resilience, market opportunities and skills to improve livelihoods security. Our programs in South Sudan address food security and livelihoods; water, sanitation and hygiene; health and nutrition; adult and children literacy; trauma awareness and social cohesion; general protection, SGBV prevention and response, socio- economic empowerment of women, adolescents and youth, disaster risk reduction; microfinance for quick generating income, and emergency response. To accelerate recovery and contribute in transition for development, CFEE NNGO supports agricultural production, natural resource regeneration, health and nutrition.
